Our History as Industry Leaders

At Cabinet Veterinaire International, we’ve made common practice of ensuring that your cat receives the highest level of quality care available, even before those same veterinary procedures are made industry protocol. For instance,

  • Pre-anesthetic testing is now industry standard, but Cabinet Veterinaire International was already utilizing this practice in 1989.
  • Holistic and Homeopathic medicine, now mainstream, were integrated into our portfolio in 1989…long before others even considered it.
  • 1991 brought with it Cabinet Veterinaire International’s performance of the free t4 equilibrium dialysis (thyroid) laboratory test, in house. To this day, this test is not run in-house at any other European animal hospitals, or in any Bern or Zurich university.

The pet care services that we offer are backed by better-than-protocol training…and the latest high-tech equipment to support that training. We offer:

  • Internal Medicine, including Photodynamic Therapy…a modern and unparalleled treatment for a variety of feline cancers.
Many types of tumors respond well to this treatment, and the patient experiences less post-surgical pain and will recover more quickly than when subjected to conventional veterinary surgery. Without the need to make a surgical incision, liver, kidney, bladder, and other cancers can be treated through a hole the size of a needle. A cat’s inoperable lung cancer can also be treated with PDT. Results vary from immediate symptom (breathing difficulty, coughing, bleeding, and pain) relief, to cancer elimination.

One day prior to the administering of PDT, a technical, highly engineered substance is injected intravenously. The compound is light-sensitive, naturally eliminated by healthy cells, but retained by cancerous cells. During the PDT procedure, the cancerous regions are exposed to light from a laser. The cat’s cancer cells, when exposed to that light, are terminated.

The only significant side effect of photodynamic therapy is hypersensitivity to light. For one to two months following treatment, your cat may be prone to sunburn. This risk is considerably minor, when compared to recovery times and side effects involved with more traditional cat cancer surgeries.

Regarding PDT, the World Health Organization says, “Photodynamic Therapy appears to be an attractive antiparasitic therapeutic option that offers rapid localized destruction of the lesions without affecting the adjacent normal tissues. Furthermore, in contrast to systematic treatments, photodynamic therapy has no risk of toxicity.”

  • Bioresonance Therapy, using a Bioresonance BICOM machine, to activate a cat’s immune system and curb the harmful effects of things such as parasites, cancers, and toxins. BRT is a high-tech, drug-free therapy that operates on the idea that a cat’s healthy organs and functions ARE energy, in the form of normal oscillating rhythms. Foreign or unhealthy matter within a cat’s body creates pathological rhythms, holding the potential to de-synergize your cat’s healthy order. The BICOM machine uses electrical currents to allow positive energy to dominate your cat’s system, and delivers the same bioresonance therapy administered to humans.
  • A BFS machine, identical to those used for humans. Living beings are known to emit an energy spectrum, ranging from microwaves to infrared waves. BFS technology uses vibration to emit varying frequencies and bio-spectrums similar to that of a healthy cat’s body. BFS machine therapy has been shown to improve immune system response, circulation, red blood cell count, and hemoglobin and platelet counts. It is a drug-free method for improving general health and a cat’s body’s self-curing ability.
